“Ocean to Table” put all love and energy, to served freshest ingredients to the food lover.
Led by Chef Rung, Rung is a playful mix of contemporary and classic Japanese cuisine and sushi in a casual, intimate, easy style in fine dining restaurant. Rung continued to delight guests with the freshest and most unique Sashimi, Nigiri and sushi in Chicago since 2006. He has been moving and lives in the beautiful paradise Kauai. This is his hometown.
Coast Sushi restaurant in Chicago that he started working as a sushi chef. Grand Hyatt Regency hotel is the one belong his work experience before he decided to moved here.
Cooking has always been a big part in Rung’s life. Being raised by an amazing chef having the ability to taste good food was a given. It takes talent and passion for cooking.
He started working in the kitchen learning about frying tempura,mixtures of sauce, and the most important of all cooking Japanese rice. We all know that Sushi rice is the most important element in sushi. Fresh fish with the best sushi rice is a great combination.
As year went by, learning from great mentors who taught him the traditional way of Japanese cuisine. Friendly sushi chef in front of the sushi bar IS HE.
The 1st location is In koloa. We started on wheel served Fresh sushi which is open right after pandemic in2020 after that a year later in 2021 we expand business to brick and mortar in Lihue (restaurant) served Fresh sushi&Authentic Thai. The journey never stop the 3rd location in Lawai, food truck served Fresh Sushi&Poke in year2022
